“Your Life” Schwab Family | October 2025

It’s some of my favorites again! ❤️ I always love getting to spend time with this crew, and I think these kiddos are probably pretty used to hearing me say, “Ooh, let’s stop and take a picture here!” at this point.

One of my favorite things about our sessions is that they’re always up for walking around, exploring, and making the experience fun instead of feeling rushed or overly posed.

And here’s your reminder when planning family photos, don’t forget to make time for more than just the full family picture! I always make sure we capture individual photos of the kids and those parent only photos too, because everyone deserves to be in the memories.

“Your Life” Braun Family | October 2025

What started as a simple “Can we get a quick headshot?” turned into a full family session, and I’m so glad it did!

These boys were an absolute riot and brought so much fun and personality to the session. One of my favorite moments was hearing, “Take our picture!” while they were up in a tree, because to me, that means they felt comfortable, relaxed, and were truly enjoying the experience.

Even though it was a chilly, windy fall day, we embraced it, made it work, and captured some amazing smiles and memories along the way.

When all of my worlds collide; military family, former student, and family friends, it’s an automatic yes to capturing senior photos.

This session was such a relaxed and meaningful one, from wandering through a local bookstore to walking around the arboretum and creating photos that felt completely true to who she is.

That’s one of my favorite things about senior sessions, they’re not just about taking pictures, they’re about capturing personality, interests, authentic smiles, and preserving this exciting season before the next chapter begins.

“Your Life” Maloney Family | October 2025

Some favorite familiar faces in this session! One of the reasons I always love photographing this crew is that they are up for anything to create something special.

For this session, they were all in, walking through tall grass, exploring around an old abandoned building, and powering through the bugs, all with smiles on their faces and poses ready to go! Their trust and willingness to have fun made these photos even more memorable.

Some of the best images come from being a little adventurous and embracing the moment, and I’m always so grateful for families who are willing to make the experience part of the memory too.

“Your Life” Cherwinski Family | October 2025

Another year with this adorable family, and this time they brought along their extended family too! Sessions like these are always so special because they capture not just one season of life, but all the connections across generations.

We had a beautiful overcast day (which photographers secretly love), and the kiddos were so fun, sweet, and full of personality.

One thing I always make sure to do during extended family sessions is capture all the important combinations, not just the full group photo, but also each individual family, grandparents with grandkids, sibling groups, and those special portraits you’ll want to look back on for years to come.

If you’re getting everyone together, let’s make the most of it and capture memories for everyone.

“Your Life” Schauer Family | September 2025

You’ve seen this beautiful crew in my updates year after year, and last year gave us one of those sessions you just don’t forget. The evening light was absolutely gorgeous, and paired with these amazing smiles, it turned into another unforgettable family session.

One of the things I love most about photographing families over time is getting to see not only how they grow, but how I’ve grown too. I truly feel like my photography has evolved alongside this family, and I’m so grateful they’ve trusted me to capture their memories through so many seasons of life.

“Your Life” Even Family | September 2025

One of the sweetest full-circle moments, when a former student is someone so incredible that you trust her with your own little ones… and years later, you get to return the favor by capturing updated family photos for her.

This session took place on the most beautiful day and was such a special reminder that family photos don’t stop when kids grow up. In fact, those moments may become even more meaningful with time.

Getting to witness these seasons of life and reconnect with people in new chapters is one of the greatest gifts of what I do. It also gave me a glimpse into my own future and reminded me that I’ll absolutely still want family photos when my kids are grown.

“Your Life” Huss Family | September 2025

Here’s another amazing mama I’m so grateful to have met, what started as one photo session turned into years of capturing memories together.

This family is always so kind, patient, and full of smiles, and every time we get together it feels easy and fun. One of the greatest gifts of this job is creating relationships that grow alongside the families I photograph.

I’m so thankful they continue to trust me with their memories, and I already can’t wait to see them again for our next session!

“Your Life” Navratil Family | August 2025

First, can we take a moment to appreciate the amazing color coordination this family pulled off?! They absolutely nailed it!

But what makes these sessions even more special is the effort behind them. Over the years, this crew has coordinated schedules, travel, dates, and outfits to make sure everyone could be together and update their family photos and that commitment to preserving memories is so meaningful.

I’m incredibly honored that this extended family and friends have trusted me to capture their story for so many years. There’s something so special about looking back and seeing how each season changes while keeping those connections front and center.

“Your Life” Ohlhauser Family | August 2025

You may recognize these cute faces from my 2024 posts, and I was so lucky to see them again in 2025!

This time we got the whole crew involved… including the dogs (which is always a win in my book 🐾). One of my favorite parts of family photography is getting to watch families grow and capture each new season together.

I’m so grateful for the families who trust me year after year to preserve these memories. And yes… your pets are family too, so bring them along!

“Your Year” Donaven | Class of 2026 | August 2025

Will I drive out of town to capture a senior session for a friend? HECK YES!

We had such a great time exploring the countryside and creating photos that reflected this senior’s personality, interests, favorite places, and the memories that make this season so special.

That’s one of my favorite things about senior sessions, they should feel personal to you. Whether that means your hometown, a meaningful location, your hobbies, or places that tell your story, I love creating a session that captures more than just how this season looked… but what it felt like.

Your senior year only happens once, let’s make it uniquely yours.

“Your Life” Kim’s Family | August 2025

When this mama asked if I would take photos of her sweet girls with their horses, I was absolutely ecstatic! Any time animals are involved, I’m all in.🐴

What made it even more special was turning it into more than just one type of session, we included siblings and grandparents too and captured so many meaningful memories together.

And let this be your reminder: you don’t need perfect sunshine for beautiful photos. Cloudy days can create the softest light and the most beautiful moments.
