“Your Life” Kim’s Family | August 2025

When this mama asked if I would take photos of her sweet girls with their horses, I was absolutely ecstatic! Any time animals are involved, I’m all in.🐴

What made it even more special was turning it into more than just one type of session, we included siblings and grandparents too and captured so many meaningful memories together.

And let this be your reminder: you don’t need perfect sunshine for beautiful photos. Cloudy days can create the softest light and the most beautiful moments.

“Your Life” Dralle Family | November 2024

Did you know my family is blessed with the very best neighbors? ❤️ This sweet family has always treated my kids like their own and welcomed us with so much kindness over the years.

One of my favorite parts of going back through these sessions and updating these posts is getting to see just how much these little guys have grown. It’s such a beautiful reminder of why family photos matter, because the seasons change faster than we realize, and these memories become more meaningful every year.

And with this post, we officially wrap up my 2024 sessions! Thank you to every family who trusted me to capture your moments this year. I can’t wait to keep sharing and reliving all of the memories from 2025 next! 📸

“Your Life” Schwab Family | October 2024

When friends become family, you make sure to capture every season together, and this crew definitely holds a permanent piece of my heart. ❤️ I just adore these cuties and always love getting to photograph them.

I know I often share the more posed and smiley images, but some of my favorite moments are the unexpected ones, the laughter, the silliness, the little in-between moments that show everyone exactly as they are.

So if you’re worried your family session has to be perfectly posed, don’t be. We’ll absolutely get those classic photos, but I’ll also capture the fun, candid moments that often end up becoming the favorites for years to come. ✨

“Your Life” Jes’s Family | October 2024

Family photos aren’t just for the years when the kids are little, your big “kids” deserve to have these moments captured too. Every season of life matters, and those memories only become more meaningful with time.

I’m so grateful this mom reached out years ago and trusted me to capture their family through the years. It has been such a joy watching the boys grow and documenting each new chapter along the way.

No matter your children’s ages, it’s never too late to update your family photos and preserve this season exactly as it is. I can only hope I get to keep capturing these memories for them well into adulthood.

“Your Life” Buechler Family | October 2024

One of the things I love most about photographing families year after year is watching kids grow comfortable and confident in front of the camera. When family photos become part of your story, they stop feeling like a chore and start feeling familiar, and even fun!

This young man is the perfect example. He always shows up with the best attitude, the biggest smile, and these days he even brings his own ideas to our sessions, which I absolutely love.

Getting to watch families grow and capture each season along the way is such a gift, and I never take for granted being chosen to preserve these memories. I feel so lucky to be part of their story year after year.

“Your Life” Schauer Family | September 2024

Speaking of extended family from my last post… here they are! And seriously, how sweet are they?!

One thing I loved about these sessions was that we planned them back-to-back so everyone could update their family photos at the same time… and then they all went out for food together afterward. Honestly, that might be one of my favorite family photo traditions yet!

If getting everyone together can feel like a challenge, turn it into an event, schedule the photos, then celebrate with a meal afterward (we’ll call it gathering… not bribing 😉). It’s such a fun way to make memories while capturing them at the same time.

“Your Life” Schauer Family | September 2024

This family never misses when it comes to outfits, I’m pretty sure I need to start taking notes for my own family photos because they always show up with the most beautiful color combinations and styling!

But even more than that, they’re one of those families I’ve been so lucky to photograph through so many seasons of life; from their wedding, to adding pets, to extended family photos, to welcoming babies, and now watching their kiddos grow into absolute pros in front of the camera.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to tell a family’s story year after year and see all the little changes along the way. And now I have to know… what color palette are we bringing this year? ✨

“Your Life” Subart Family | September 2024

A growing family is always a wonderful reason to schedule family photos, but so is a new home!

This sweet family was celebrating two big milestones at once: making memories in a new space while capturing this season of life together. I’m so grateful they trusted me to document such meaningful moments for their family.

Family photos don’t have to wait for a holiday card, new beginnings, big changes, and everyday milestones deserve to be remembered too.

“Your Life” Neary Family | September 2024

Chasing kiddos around during sessions is one of my favorite parts, and they always surprise us with the sweetest smiles and the most perfect little poses when we least expect it.

These boys were such great sports and gave Dad the perfect photo for his wall. You could say we captured a few fast moments… but at the end of the day, it’s all about family. 😉🏁

I love creating photos that freeze these stages of life before they speed by. I can’t wait to make even more memories together this year!

“Your Life” Cherwinski Family | September 2024

One of the best parts of my job is the relationships that grow over the years. Thanks to a wonderful neighbor who introduced us, I had the pleasure of meeting the Cherwinski family a few years ago, and I’ve loved watching their family grow ever since.

These kiddos are as sweet as they are adorable, and every session with them is filled with smiles, laughter, and so much personality. Honestly, how could Mom and Dad ever say no to those faces? 😊

Family photos are about so much more than updating a picture on the wall, they’re about capturing the little personalities, smiles, and moments you’ll want to remember for years to come.

“Your Life” Engelhart Family | September 2024

It was such a joy meeting the Engelhart family and capturing these special memories for them. They were so kind, welcoming, and fun to work with, and I truly hope our paths cross again in the future!

One thing I love about family photo sessions is how versatile they can be. Along with updating your family portraits, it’s also the perfect opportunity to capture individual photos and headshots. Whether it’s for school, sports, social media, or simply a photo you actually love, a family session can check all the boxes.

“Your Life” Seiler Family | September 2024

You know how you have those friends whose families are every bit as wonderful as they are? That was absolutely the case with the Seiler family!

This special gathering was to celebrate Grandma’s birthday, and with everyone together, it was the perfect time to capture some family photos and preserve these memories for years to come.

If you have a family gathering, reunion, birthday, or anniversary coming up, consider setting aside a little time for family pictures. When everyone is already together, it’s the perfect opportunity to create memories you’ll treasure forever. ❤️
